About Client

The client is a single refinery based out of Eastern India, with 100,000 barrels per day capacity.

Business Scenario

Before partnering with Maventic, the client needed to manually print all work orders and manage preventive and breakdown processes. These manual interventions impacted the efficiency of the technicians and, thus, the wrench time. Additionally, status updates on SAP were not fully updated against these activities.

The customer decided to move to a mobile solution for their technicians to ensure increased wrench time, provide all relevant information to technicians, including real-time visibility of status, the ability to quickly and dynamically change the assignments, and effectively reduce the cost of maintenance.

Challenges

The key challenges faced by the customer included:

  • Extensive paperwork impacted the wrench time & efficiency of technicians.
  • Lack of agility and dynamism as the planners had no real-time information.
  • MTTR was constantly higher than the target.

The client’s business processes needed major customizations to ease the planning process, and they needed a modern, easy-to-use, offline-supported mobile app. 

Solution
