About Client

The client is one of the largest manufacturers of grey cement, ready mix concrete (RMC) and white cement in India. It has 200+ manufacturing units in 85+ cities across the country.

Business Scenario

Before partnering with Maventic, the client relied on an SAP standard godown management platform, limited by a licensing plan for 1-2 users per godown, for handling operations like inward stock, outward stock, delivery challan and goods dispatch.

Challenges

This standalone platform presented the following challenges:

  • Limited access only via a laptop or desktop (no mobile functionality)
  • Could only be accessed on a laptop/desktop with no mobile functionality.
  • Decreased productivity due to lengthy and manual business processes.

Solution

The client decided that the best course of action was to develop a custom application for mobile devices that could grant godown management access to more users within the organization and automate business processes.
After evaluating a few SAP mobile development partners, they selected Maventic’s proposal to develop this mobile application utilizing SAPUI5.
Maventic quickly developed this application in a period of under two months and subsequently offered support services for running frictionless godown operations.
