The client is one of the leading players in the global petrochemical inspection industry. It focuses on assessing the reliability of assets and provides inspection services to minimize any risks/consequences associated with loss of containment or failure of equipment.

Business Scenario
Before partnering with Maventic, the client relied on physical inspection practices onsite.

Challenges

Lack of requisite technology to assist inspection and turnaround processes often resulted in

Paper-based data entry which was prone to manual errors
Manual intervention to enter the same data in an SAP or other backend systems
Difficulties in locating the right asset due for inspection owing to lack of historical data
No validation or checklists to ensure all the inspection checkpoints were covered during a physical inspection

Solution:

The client decided that the best course of action was to digitize the inspection and QC of its turnaround wall chart tracking process. After evaluating a few SAP BTP partners, they selected Maventic’s proposal to develop a platform that will enable asset information from the customer to be fed, which would in turn provide insights into the complete turnaround process to be undertaken, along with historical data, on a single dashboard.

The services utilized for this project were SAP CAP Java, SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori Launchpad.
