Customer is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in India. They have multiple manufacturing and warehouse facilities in different countries. They cater to the complete India market through their own warehouses and depots. They export its products to more than 35 countries including the regulated markets of EU, CIS and South East Asia.
Challenges
Pharmaceutical Industry faces multifold challenges in managing their warehouses.These include ensuring FEFO rules for dispatches, ability to know exact location of material, managing efficiency of workers, tracking the work status of workers and visibility to the warehouse incharge.
Solution
Alkem implemented SAP Warehouse Management. In addition, they implemented Maventic’s mDew solution as an add on for a bar-code based mobile solution. As part of the project, every bin was uniquely bar-coded and the linkage between material and bins were established.
Customer chose mDew for it’s completeness, technology platform and seamless integration with SAP. Along with cost effective proven solution which can be implemented in a shorter time, Alkem wanted to engage with a partner with strong mobility, Industry and Warehouse expertise
About mDew
mDew is an SAP certified product from Maventic. It is currently being used by 20 + customers and is running in 200 + Warehouses. The product comes with a real time cockpit for the warehouse in-charge to see the current status of orders pending, completed, partially completed etc to manage workforce optimally.
